I was tasked with redesigning the Chadwicks online store back in 2020 with Space48. It was going on to the Adobe Magento 2 platform. This was Chadwicks first eCommerce store so there were a lot of unknowns but a chance to start from fresh.
The designs were created using CSS, HTML and jQuery for interactions.
This site was built on the Hyva theme so we had to design as close to that as we could due to limitations and with it being B2B, we had different challenges compared to a B2C site. A lot of time was spent considering the click and collect / delivery journeys.
With it being Magento, the Magento pagebuilder was implemented and used for landing pages and homepage.
Working with a BA, we gathered requirements and produced low fidelity wireframes using Invision Prototype. Once signed off by all parties, we ran a small creative discovery to discuss competitors where we compiled a list of competing sites and business to look at user journeys. Once we established a look and a list of ideas for functionality, we moved to interactive designs. Working with the company guidelines, we produced a digital pattern library that fed into the design process. Once designs were finalised, they were passed to developers with regular design reviews.
